Nancy Fox, CFNC, FNLP
Hi, my name is Nancy Fox. I am a board-certified functional nutrition counselor and a functional nutrition lifestyle practitioner. I educate people on what their bodies signs and symptoms are trying to tell them. I love watching people learn to take charge of their internal environment and enjoy vibrant health.
I am happily married, 27 years and counting to a very sweet man and we have 2 “almost grown” sons.
I have always had a passion for the workings of the body and how amazing it is. When I became pregnant with my first son, I turned my attention to nutrition and how much I could do for the sweet life I was going to be bringing into the world. I was fortunate to be raised in a house without any soda or junk food and mostly home cooked meals and I have always loved vegetables so being healthy has always seemed easy and logical to me, though throughout college that surely was not the case.
Unfortunately I lost my Dad to lung cancer in 2000 and that reinforced my drive to learn as much as I could about health and nutrition, I just couldn’t believe that there wasn’t anything that could be done for my sweet Dad, I felt completely helpless and never wanted to feel that way again. This started my passion with reading anything I could that had to do with health and nutrition.
In 2001 I had my second son and watched as he struggled with severe eczema and other allergies, once again I felt helpless as the doctors told me is was just genetics and this was who he was. Not acceptable, I continued to try and self educate.
In 2010 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, fortunately I had found it early and had surgery and radiation, once again feeling helpless. That is when I found Chris Wark, from chrisbeatcancer.com. He is amazing and his story inspired me to figure this out once and for all. I have devoured and internalized every reputable book I could get my hands on regarding health and nutrition. I love all of them and learn something each time.
I have also done a very deep dive into physiology and nutrition with my courses through the Functional Nutrition Alliance. What Andrea Nakayama has created for education, training and healing is nothing short of a miracle and I am so happy I found her when I did. Our society has lost the connection between the physical body and the nutrition that fuels it. My life and educational experiences have strongly reinforced that everything you put into your body either helps you or harms you.
My mission is to educate, empower and connect with one client at a time. We all have a choice about our well-being, and it begins in our kitchens.
